Hi. This is the begining to my newest book I Am Not A Nobody. It starts out with a young girl and her mom getting into a huge fight. This is in the girls point of veiw. Her name is Anne.
My mom was downstairs watching TV when she came storming into my room yelling at me that I never help out around the house. Of course being to moody teenager that I am, I yelled back.
This happens a lot. After my Dad died in Iraq, my mom went crazy. Ahe came home every night either drunk off her ass or higher than a kite. When she came home drunk, I would lock my siblings in my bedroom and she would beat on me. I took all of the beatings. It was better that way. I do mixed martial arts, so when people ask where the brusies come from, I have an excuse. My little siblings to not.
I remember we fought and it was worse than usual. I new she was stoned, i could smell it in her breath. My sisters took my little brother and locked themselves in my room. But the oddest thing happened that night. My mom left. I have no idea where. Well I freaked and grabbed my keys, all the cash I had, and my phone . I threw on a jacket put my siblings in the car and took off. I remember driving and my vision became blurry. It was late at night so it was dark. The last thing I remember is being blinded by bright headlights and then waking up in the ER. Without my siblings I might add. I tried to sit up but the doctor told me to lie still.
"Where are they?!" I screamed.
"Where are who?" The doc asked me.
"My brother and my two little siblings! They were in the car with me! Please find them!" I cried.
The doctor exchanged glances with the paramedic that must have brought me in. He whispered something in the doctors ear and than walked away with a pained look on his face.
"Im sorry miss, you were the only survivor of the accident. They're gone."
"No." I whispered and than broke down into uncontrollable sobs.
"Miss?" The doctors asked but i barely heard them. "Miss, I need youIto lie still. You have broken leg than needs to be set."
It was then that I realized that I was in tremendous pain. I looked down and all I saw was blood, entire bottom half was covered in blood. I must have passed out, from the pain or the sight of all that blood, I do not know. I just remember waking up crying and in pain. And not physical pain.
